4:30am

I just set my alarm for 4:30am and laid out my gym clothes.
Plan is to get in 45 minutes of cardio and 60 minutes of Body Pump (weights).
All before 7am.

Let's see how this goes.....

Long Time

Long time, right?
That happens a lot in this blogging land.
So, I changed the title of this blog and decided to start thinking bigger.

It's not enough to just want to lose weight. Which, to be honest I still want to do.
But even more so I want to be healthy and strong again. I want to run and break down barriers and bike to yoga and lift weights and sweat during spin class, and yes I really want to run a marathon.

I know that's a lot of wants and a lot of me, me, me.
But it's the truth, and I want it all more than I want my skinny jeans.

Luckily the two things go hand in hand.

I've been running again for the last 2 weeks or so. And of course by "running" I mean, jog walking.
I can do about 3 miles at this point in around 35 minutes if I truly push myself. As usual I am trying not to watch the clock and meerly get the feel for 3 miles and get comfortable in my own running shoes once again.

Again, again.

This marathon has been in the making for a long time now, for a few years actually. Two years ago I was all set to train for the SanFran marathon, and I made it through the majority of my training schedule, up to the 18 mile mark, before my IT Band gave out and made it impossible to run even one mile, let alone 26. That was hard.

I keep thinking about how I'm going to do things differently this time so that an injury doesn't rain on my parade once again.

So for now, 3 slow miles is what I am working on. The marathon isn't until October 6th, so I have some time.
